Biological and ecological characteristics: A highly branched plant with a very characteristic odor, found on skeletal mountain soils. Its leaves are linear with a highly developed central vein. Flowering occurs between spring and late autumn. The flowers are light violet. Multiplication is vegetative because the seeds are sterile.

Location: The entire mountainous zone.

Usage: Species with culinary and aromatic utility (distillery). It is very famous for its use in traditional pharmacopeia (antiseptic, vermifuge, stimulant...). Leaf infusions are used to cure various diseases (including heart palpitations) and as fortifiers. Its famous honey is highly sought after in the local market.
